Stoke Inaugurates Supplier Excellence Award, Naming TTM Technologies as First Winner
Award Recognizes Manufacturing Innovation, Technical Partnership and Contribution to Quality and Cost ImprovementsSANTA CLARA, Calif. — December 9th, 2011 — Mobile broadband developer Stoke, Inc. today named Santa Ana-based TTM Technologies (Nasdaq: TTMI) as the 2011 winner of Stoke’s new Supplier Excellence Award. TTM achieved a five-star supplier rating in the categories of technology participation, quality control, responsiveness, on-time delivery and continual improvements to costs.
"TTM Technologies has helped Stoke create breakthrough solutions through a close and collaborative manufacturing partnership," said Paul Cianci, Vice President of Operations at Stoke. "They have an outstanding commitment to quality and they continually demonstrate their alignment with our philosophy of ‘design for manufacturability’. We are very pleased to acknowledge their contribution to our growth with this award."
TTM produces printed circuit boards and backplanes for Stoke’s mobile broadband product suite from plants in Chippawa Falls, Wisconsin, Logan, Utah and Stafford Springs, Connecticut. Significant elements contributing to TTM’s award win include the exceptionally high level of engineering support, ongong introduction of new materials and their use of advanced assembly techniques. TTM was also singled out for its consistent quality, industry-leading logistics, rapid resolution of issues, and conscientious approach to environmental and personal safety.
Despite doubling its shipment rate every quarter since the beginning of 2010, Stoke has achieved 100% on-time shipments and exceptionally low return rates. Based on a process of continual technology and design innovation, Stoke and TTM have been able to achieve a mammoth increase in processing power and performance of its latest product, the lead-free XGLC20 line card, with fewer components and lower power consumption than earlier versions.
"Achieving line rate 10Gbps encryption stretches the physical boundaries of what has previously been possible, and world class manufacturing and design allow us to bring the product to market with confidence in its carrier class reliability," added Cianci.
"We are honored to receive this award," said Doug Soder, Executive Vice President of TTM. "Together, we are pushing the bounds of manufacturing excellence to produce world class, leading edge technology products. Stoke is a valued customer and we are very pleased to partner in their success as an innovative force in mobile broadband infrastructure."
