Strategic Partnership Integrates Stoke Session Exchange into Telcoware's Communication Solution Portfolio
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - June 23, 2008 - Stoke, Inc., a leading developer of multi-access convergence gateways for network operators, today announced that it has formed a strategic reseller agreement with Telcoware, a mobile communication solution provider in Korea. Under the terms of the agreement, Telcoware will offer the Stoke Session Exchange (SSX) to mobile operators in Korea that require converged IP session management solutions for their next generation IP network infrastructures.
Telcoware's solution ecosystem offers extensive hardware, software and application partners, along with well known, highly developed system integration capabilities. These unique competencies have made Telcoware a leading reseller and supplier to the Korean service provider market, one of the most technically advanced in the world. A core mission of Telcoware is to provide the most advanced technology for its customers to help them navigate the rapidly evolving network edge. In line with this mission, Telcoware selected the SSX for its state-of-the-art design and architecture, and for its ability to fulfill critical networking functions as carriers design, construct, and deploy complex commercial IP NGN solutions including fixed-mobile convergence and 4G initiatives.
"Stoke's solution provides a significant, fundamental new building block for carriers as they retool their network edge for mobile broadband," said Geum Han-Tae, CEO of Telcoware. "The SSX provides the foundation for managing multi-access networks in a cost-effective, non-disruptive fashion in order to provide their subscribers with innovative services and an optimal experience. Stoke's deep expertise, coupled with its technical innovation, will enable us to continue delivering cutting-edge technology to our customers throughout Korea."
Korea boosts over 44 million mobile subscribers, with a national penetration rate close to 90%. As mobile broadband proliferates with different access options, and as 4G gets added to the mix, operators need new solutions capable of delivering scalable, stateful management of high speed subscriber sessions across multiple access technologies. With the SSX, network operators can deploy the next generation of broadband multimedia services to subscribers regardless of how they access the network, including fixed, Wi-Fi, and 4G cellular networks.
"Telcoware has long been at the forefront of delivering world-class, core network technologies for mobile communications services," said Vikash Varma, President and CEO, Stoke, Inc. "With carriers and enterprises in Korea looking to meet the demand for anywhere services, they will be an even more important force in the dynamic Korean marketplace. We are excited that Telcoware views Stoke as a key partner for helping them to meet their customers' requirements for convergence and 4G solutions."
