SANTA CLARA, CA, October 9, 2007 - Stoke, Inc., a leading industry developer of carrier-class multi-access convergence gateways announced that Keith Higgins, the company's vice president of marketing, will address Interop New York attendees later this month during a Fixed Mobile Convergence panel.

The 1:30 p.m. "Strategies for Convergence" panel on Tuesday, October 23 at the Javits Center will examine whether enterprise IT and telecom managers who want to deploy converged solutions should work with a carrier to provide service, or tackle the task alone. Higgins will discuss the state of this industry sector focusing specifically on various solutions and approaches offered today to enterprise customers by network operators.

"While the enterprise economics of FMC are compelling, IT and telecom managers face a complicated 'buy versus build' analysis today," said Higgins. "With a myriad of technology considerations, including handsets, protocols, standards, and interoperability, it's sure to be an interesting and educational session."

Higgins has extensive experience driving new technologies into the carrier marketplace, including copper-based broadband access, frame relay and ATM. He previously served as vice president of worldwide marketing for Copper Mountain Networks and held several senior marketing positions at StrataCom, a provider of ATM and frame relay WAN solutions. StrataCom was acquired by Cisco in 1996 for $4 billion. In his current role as vice president of marketing, Higgins has helped Stoke pioneer the multi-access gateway product category, including introducing the industry's first purpose-built platform, the SSX-3000.
